I've wanted to start a blog for a while now, but I just never know what to write. I often read other people's entertaining posts and wonder if people would find my random thoughts nearly as entertaining. We'll just have to find out!
So to get started, just a little background about what's happening in my life right now.... Scott and I have been living in Virginia for three years now, but I still consider myself "from" Arkansas. I recently finished the first year of a two year master's program at University of Virginia in Charlottesville. Scott still works for Sigma Nu Headquarters in Lexington (VA). We have one dog, Charlie, a dachsund/beagle mix who keeps us busy. We enjoy exploring Charlottesville, taking Charlie for walks in the numerous parks, and listening to live music.
This summer I'm completing an internship on a small, vegetable farm in Nelson County (much more about this in later posts). I also work part time as a facilitator at Poplar Ridge - the ropes course on campus. I enjoy both positions which keep me busy and outside most days of the week. Other summer plans include several weddings, a trip to Chicago, and hopefully some time at a lake somewhere!
